Overview

Family Hubs provide a range of services to children and families.

Membership is free and allows you to access a range of services for you and your child including:

  • breast feeding
  • hygiene
  • safety
  • weaning and nutrition 
  • affordable childcare 
  • family support and home visiting 

Support available

All groups and activities are inclusive.

Staff can provide support to individual families depending on individual needs. 

There is day-care and outreach staff to support within EHCPs and support via early help is available if appropriate. 

The service also offers portage support into day care settings.

We are going to be hosting SEND parent carer forums. These are going to be drop-in sessions each month which will be led by volunteers.

Who can access the service

Family Hubs are for every family living in South Tyneside.

Services are provided from conception through to 19 years and up to 25 years for young people with additional needs.
