It uses a family-centred approach, offering practical skills, advice, strategies and a listening ear.

The service also works with other organisations, particularly AIM, to support the transition into adulthood.

Autism in Mind (AIM)

AIM are focused on finding solutions, and work with inviduals to allow them to have a better understanding of their autism and what it means to them.

They offer the "Me, Myself and Autism" course to anyone over the age of 18. The course is co-designed, co-produced and co-delivered by autistic people.

AIM connect with individuals and works to support their needs, and  prevent crisis from happening.

They do this by providing:

  • informal advocacy to support effective communication
  • support to individuals in employment
  • support to individuals in educational settings
  • support to access benefits
  • workshops delivered by a sensory occupational therapist
  • workshops delivered by a speech and language therapy
