Overview

Children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) may need extra or different support during their education or training.

They may need support at various stages, or throughout their education.

This support is known by professionals as 'special educational provision'.

It is education or training that is different from, or in addition to, what is normally available to children / young people of the same age.

The support your child gets will depend on their needs, and the impact their needs have on their learning.

It is designed to help children / young people with SEND make progress in their learning.
