Children with Disabilities Network

Who can join

Those who live in South Tyneside, and have a child aged between 0-18 years, with a permanent disability or life-long additional needs that have a substantial and long term impact on their ability to carry out day to day activities.


How much it costs

It is free to join the Network.


Benefits

  • Max Card, which gives free and discounted entry to hundreds of local, regional and national attractions (such as Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Newcastle's Centre for Life, Arbeia Roman Fort & Museum, Jarrow Hall and South Shields Museum and Art Gallery).
  • Members can apply for an Active Card, which provides access to free swimming at Hebburn CentralHaven Point and Jarrow Community Pool.
  • Term time activities for children with disabilities.
  • Sport and play schemes during school holidays for school aged children.
  • Regular information emails.

Join the Network and apply for or renew a Max Card

To apply for a Max Card children must be registered on the Children with Disabilities Network.

Membership is free, straight forward and you can join online.
