Children with Disabilities Network
Max Cards
To apply for a Max Card children must be registered on the Children with Disabilities Network.
The Children with Disabilities Network is for those who live in South Tyneside and have a child with a permanent disability or life-long additional needs, aged between 0 and 18 years.

Some attractions which offer free or discounted entry with a Max Card include:
- Alnwick Castle and Gardens
- The Centre for Life
- Blue Reef Aquarium
- Go Ape
- Gibside
- Seven Stories
- Northern Stage
- Jarrow Hall
- Customs House

Free swimming sessions
Max Card holders who live in South Tyneside can apply for an Active card, which allows:
- free swimming at Haven Point, Hebburn Central and Jarrow Community Pool (up to two children and two adults)
National attractions
There are many attractions across the country which offer free or discounted entry with a Max Card.
Merlin Entertainment offers up to 52% discount at 30 of their attractions such at Lego Land and Alton Towers.
